Dr. Djamel Drider received his PhD in Food Science with emphasis in Microbiology from Ecole Nationale Supérieure Agronomique de Montpellier, France. Then, he completed his training in Molecular Microbiology at Centro de Investigaciones Biologicas del CSIC (Madrid, Spain) as postdoc fellow and at Mount Sinai School of Medicine (New York, USA) as Research Associate. He was appointed as Associate Professor at Nantes Atlantic National College of Veterinary Medicine, Food Science and Engineering, and then as full Professor (currently with exceptional scale) at Lille University. Dr. Drider's interests are food safety, antimicrobials (bacteriocins), bacterial resistance to antibiotics, probiotics, and nanomaterials.
